Water is a basic need of mankind and many living species for survival. Without water we cannot live. Water is needed for Digestion, Blood purification, Excretion and other metabolic activities. Water being our lifeblood when consumed polluted will give rise to numerous diseases and health problems. Water pollution is normally caused by humans, firstly due to advancement in technologies and large amount of industrialization and waste disposal into pure drinking underground water and rivers. Secondly, we are not aware of the complete harmfulness of discharging all chemical and hazardous wastes directly into our sewage or river etc. Sometimes water gets polluted naturally by decomposition of waste plant and animal bodies, formation of micro organisms like algae, fungi, bacteria and viruses.
